This Pool by Danzell j. Franklin

I'm stepping....
on the edge of this diving board
Approaching the edge backwards...
not knowing when i may fall
into the depth of my hardships...
Even tho i can swim...
i'm still afraid
Of the splash
Of the beginning...
First struggle...
Which may signal the disbelief that my hope could fight
That it couldn't last
Wondering....
would I change direction?
Realizing...
I'm not the sunlight that changes courses
when it arrives at the watery surface
It doesn't matter the feet depth which i may sink
Once i reach the bottom
I'm at an all time low
But the might which i possess
would strengthen my feet
So...
i could kick up with all power
But i'll raise slow
taking time to develop stronger
Swimming to the surface!
Swimming to the top!!
getting out of this pool
Noticing...
the railing...
Which has been there since the start
A true friend
Always there to help me out of my hardships
This railing is trustworthy
Now...
I get ahold of the railing
Pulling....
myself out of my hardships
out of my depression
out of my worries
into warming success
Drying...
the stress away
Feeling....
Brand new and accomplished
I've survived my downfall
I've survived
This pool
